NexaPress Daily Operational Guide#

Use this page as a checklist when you start using NexaPress. Menu names may vary slightly depending on your WordPress version, dashboard language, and package capabilities.

Before creating an article#

Ensure the following five conditions are met:

  1. NexaPress > Status/License shows an active license.
  2. The Plugin Use capability is available, and the selected AI engine is permitted by your package.
  3. Default AI quota is available, or the BYOK configuration is complete.
  4. At least one active campaign contains keywords that have not yet been processed.
  5. WP-Cron is running if you are using background processing or the Content Planner.

If a Premium menu is not visible, refresh the license first. Menus are only displayed when the corresponding capability is present in the signed license response.

1. Define content goals#

Note down the topic, target audience, search intent, expected results, and content type. For packages that support SEO Content Briefs, enter these requirements directly into the campaign so the instructions are applied before generation.

2. Research keywords#

Go to NexaPress > Settings > Keyword Tools.

  • Enter a primary keyword.
  • Check search volume, difficulty, intent, competition, and opportunity score.
  • Select keywords relevant to your product or audience, not just those with high volume.
  • Copy the selected keywords to the campaign.

Keyword research does not consume article quota.

3. Create or select a campaign#

Go to NexaPress > Campaigns and fill in the following:

  • An easily recognizable campaign name.
  • Category mode and target category.
  • Author mode.
  • Keywords (one per line).
  • Status: Active (if the campaign is ready to be processed).
  • Global Posting Status (determines whether the result is a draft or published), unless the Approval Workflow requires a review.

If available, select the Brand Voice, Planner schedule, Content Type, mapping, and Content Brief. Save the campaign before running it. ### 4. Run a test article

Use Run and Post Campaign for a single article first. Monitor the progress until the status shows as complete. A test article helps you check the writing style, structure, category, images, and AI configuration before processing a large number of keywords.

5. Review results#

Check the article under Posts, Pages, Products, or the selected CPT menu for:

  • Title and permalink.
  • Factual accuracy and alignment with search intent.
  • H2/H3 structure, FAQs, references, and article length.
  • Brand Voice and prohibited terms.
  • Categories, tags, custom taxonomies, and custom fields.
  • Featured image, body images, alt text, captions, and sources.
  • SEO title, description, focus keyword, schema, and internal links.

Do not publish medical, legal, financial, or high-risk product claims without human review.

6. Next steps#

Once the test article is satisfactory:

  • Run the next keyword manually; or
  • Activate the Content Planner for scheduled processing; or
  • Use the campaign queue while keeping quota limits in mind.

Understanding keyword statuses#

Status Meaning Action
Not generated Has not yet been successfully processed Can be run
Processing Currently reserved by a job Wait; do not create a duplicate job
Generated Article successfully created Open the article from the keyword list
Error/Released Process failed and reservation released Check logs, then retry after fixing the issue

A technical retry uses the same request ID to avoid creating duplicate articles or consuming extra quota. A fresh regeneration counts as a new request and may consume new quota.

List pagination#

Lists for Campaigns, Keywords, Keyword Research History, Campaign Logs, Planner, Editorial, Brand Voice, Content Refresh, Templates, Content Audit, and Indexing Logs are paginated. Use the «, , , and » buttons below the table. Page numbers are stored in the URL, allowing the same page to be reloaded without returning to the beginning.

Post-publication checklist#

  1. Open the article URL as a visitor.
  2. Ensure the layout, images, FAQs, links, and schema are not broken. 3. Check the indexing status if IndexNow or Google Indexing is enabled.
  3. Conduct content audits periodically.
  4. For content refreshes, monitor the job in Logs, open the completed preview, compare the two versions, and use Apply Refresh & Update Published Post only after the changes have been approved.
