Media, GEO, Schema, and Internal Links#

Media Settings#

Go to NexaPress > Settings > Media Settings.

Article Images#

Maximum Images determines the maximum number of images per article, ranging from 0 to 5. The first image becomes the featured image; subsequent images go to the body and are not reinserted.

Use First Content Image Position to determine the paragraph placement of the first image and Content Image Spacing to determine the spacing of subsequent images.

NexaPress uses external images from Content API responses, including Unsplash or Bing, not AI-generated images.

Image Optimization and Limits#

Before entering the Media Library, images undergo download limit checks, MIME checks, proportional resizing, and quality compression.

Settings Functions Default
Maximum Download Size Download limit per image 10 MB
Maximum Image Dimension Longest side limit 1920 px
Image Quality JPEG or WebP quality 82
WebP Conversion JPEG/PNG conversion if the image editor supports it Optional

Oversized images are reduced proportionally. If re-encoding without resizing results in a larger file, NexaPress retains the source file. If WebP is not supported or the conversion fails, the optimized source format is used.

GIFs exceeding the dimension limit are rejected to prevent animations from being corrupted by resizing. Each attachment stores the size before and after optimization for technical audits.

Enable Image Source to display the source. Source label sets the text to:

If Image Detail Links is enabled, the image opens the NexaPress detail page. If disabled, images open files in the Media Library. Enable Uploaded Image Gallery to display a responsive gallery below articles.

If the detail page returns a 404, go to Settings > Permalinks, click Save Changes, and then clear the cache.

GEO Output#

Available options:

  • Show validated references
  • Show section citation markers
  • Render a visible FAQ block
  • Show local GEO audit information in admin

Confidence Threshold is a 0–1 threshold for semantic internal links. The default value is 0.6; higher values make the selection more stringent.

Click Save Media Settings when finished.

Schema Settings#

Go to NexaPress > Settings > Schema, then fill in:

  • Organization name
  • Organization URL
  • Organization logo URL

If the name and URL are blank, the plugin uses the WordPress site title and home URL. The logo must be an absolute URL:

https://your-domain.com/wp-content/uploads/logo.png

Breadcrumb and Person schemas are built from WordPress data. Article, FAQPage, and HowTo use article data. If the API doesn't send Article schema, NexaPress builds a local fallback from WordPress post data. The FAQPage is only published if the FAQ is visible; the HowTo is only published if the steps are complete and point to a visible section.

Go to NexaPress > Settings > Internal Links, enable Enable semantic internal links from the API response, and save.

The link is only created if the target is available, the recommendation passes validation, and the confidence level meets the threshold.

Checking article results#

Go to Posts > All Posts. NexaPress adds the SEO Score, GEO/Audit, SEO Title, and SEO Description columns.

Check the title, content, category, tags, author, featured image, image position, alt text, caption, references, FAQ, internal links, schema, and permalink. Local GEO warnings are for audit information purposes only and do not automatically invalidate publication.
