Troubleshooting RSS ReWriter#

Locked campaign menu#

Ensure the plugin is active and the license status is Active under RSS ReWriter > License. Click Refresh License Status if your plan was recently modified.

License activation fails#

Check the License Key, domain, validity period, and activation limits. Ensure outbound REST/HTTP requests are not blocked and the server time is accurate. If the error mentions product not configured or activation limit, contact the LeksaStudio administrator.

Test Connection fails#

  1. Ensure the selected engine is included in your plan.
  2. For BYOK, check the API key, model, balance, and provider rate limits.
  3. Go to System Health and rerun the test.
  4. Ensure DNS, SSL, proxies, or hosting firewalls are not blocking outbound HTTPS.

Campaign does not run#

Ensure the campaign is active, the feed URL is valid, the license is active, and WP-Cron is registered. Check Last Cron on the dashboard. On low-traffic sites, set up a server cron to call wp-cron.php.

No articles processed#

The feed might not have new items, all URLs may already be recorded as duplicates, or items failed the keyword filter. Check RSS Article Links and Log Viewer for duplicate or skipped statuses.

Rewrite Failed#

Check the Log Viewer for details. Common causes include unavailable AI services, invalid responses, incorrect BYOK credentials, unsupported models, rate limits, or exhausted plan quota.

Publish Failed#

Ensure the database and Media Library are writable, author/category still exist, and security plugins are not blocking post creation. Try setting the status to Draft and check hosting PHP error logs.

Images do not appear#

Images are created only if the AI response includes them and the source server can be downloaded safely. Check uploads folder permissions, size limits, image MIME types, timeouts, and source hotlink restrictions.

Duplicate articles#

Do not delete the RSS Article Links history for items that still need protection. Ensure feed URLs use stable canonical URLs and avoid running copies of the plugin on the same database.

Information for support#

Include WordPress, PHP, and RSS ReWriter versions; campaign name; timestamp; System Health status; and Log Viewer messages. Never send License Keys or API keys.
